About John... Well what can I say about that guy? Well for starters I have been at Sandals Church for over 6 years and still meeting new people seeing new things, doing new things and just loving on all the family God has given me. Before I came to the Lord, I was living in the world in worst possible ways. And it brought me nothing but sadness and disaster. I can’t begin to tell you what a great work that Jesus was done for me. I still remember the first time the Lord awoke the Holy Spirit in my heart. It was a gloomy Sunday morning, waking up after a long night out with my friends and familly. And I remember thinking to myself that I had gotten an invite to go to Sandals church today; and I asked myself..."do I really want to go? Its so far away and I don’t remember what time it starts, and I’m really tired yada yada yada" I made every excuse in the book to not go. But I still found myself wanting to go deep down inside. So I went, I was told to go to the youth tent and hang out there and ask for Pastor Matt, So I did and I found him and I told him "Matt I want to know more about God." Instantly my stomach turned into knots and I wanted to run away. But Matt looked at me, smiled, and waved Pastor TJ over and said to me "Great, I cant stay long but this is Pastor TJ, he will pray for you." So that day, the fifth anniversary of Sandals church, I accepted Jesus into my life forever. It was a very special day, I stand up while Matt preached his message and he said “God is doing great things in this church and how great it is that on our anniversary this young man (me) accepted Jesus into his life today." And since that point my life has never been the same. I can’t begin to thank my greatest friend Matt Sprankle for sharing with me the good news. Since then I have Joined and lead my own small group, joined the 777 souls, gone to New Delhi India on a mission, gone to El Niño Mexico with Paso’s, joined the Coffee cart as the Assistant Manager, and Joined the RD group at sandals. It sounds like a lot but God has worked a great miracle in my life. And I can not think of a thing "I" could do without Him... So all in all Thank you Sandals, Thank you Lord and Thank you to all my friends and Family.
