Hello friend! My name is Trina Nicole Lugarda Deborah Ann Sanchez Jenkins. I am involved in what I think is one of the best ministries at Sandals Pipeline! I am the 5th and 6th grade girl Coordinator, which means I am usually running around like a chicken without my head most of the morning. Basically my job is to make sure the 5th and 6th grade girls group runs smoothly. Whether it is writing the curriculum, passing out their snacks or talking little "Susie" about not throwing her shoe at the guy she has a crush on. It is great to minister to that group each week. All of the 5th and 6th grade girl Island Chiefs that I work with are probably the most AMAZING women that I have had the pleasure of ministering along side with, and I am incredibly blessed to call each one of them my friend. All of them are extraordinarily talented and spirit filled! I am a CBU graduate with a BA in English. Just about to start my masters. I work at C28 at the corporate office. I love Jesus, air, and spending time with my family!
Below are some question that our Fearless Leader had us answer so that you could know me better, if you still have any questions, concerns and or suggestions feel free to e-mail me at trinajenkins@c28.com. God Bless!!!
Here are some questions that I can answer so you can get to know me a little better!
What motivates you in your Christian life?
Is God's love and grace that He has for me.
What is your best Pipeline memory?
Last year as well as this year I was a camp counselor for our girls up in Forest Home. A whole week of no electricity, cell phone reception, sleep, warm showers, or makeup. Walking up hill every where in dirt, cleaning up vomit and other surprises left in and around the tent. Removing a million splinters and spraying bug spray and itch relief cream on everyone. Making 50 trips a night to the bathroom a quarter mile away because some one else had to go. Feeling grateful that I brought an extra bottle of Febreeze, powder order eaters and aerosol deodorant. All the while trying to fathom how parents do this on a daily basis. In short it was AWESOME, and probably one of greatest times I have ever had in my life. From sleeping out on our deck having star lessons. Having fantastic debates about what Jonas brother was the cutest. Doing mani's, pedi's, and facials so we did not feel so gross. Hearing what my girls thought about life and God, to our deck connections and cry session on the volleyball court in affirmation circles. It was great to connect and love on my girls that whole week, and I would not trade one second of that time for anything in the world.
In what ways do you see God working in Pipeline?
God is working in Pipeline in many ways. I see in the faces of our kids when they realize how much God loves them. The difference it makes in all of our leaders when they are called to serve others and how the all of our young people at Pipeline challenge us to be real. But I especially see in June of every year when our 6th graders our promoted to Frontside ( one of the saddest days for me personally ) The growth and change that they have had in the last 5 years is AMAZING.
